The global hop and alpha markets remain characterized by structural adjustments and shifting production dynamics. Despite reductions in recent years, the scale of acreage cuts has not yet been sufficient to move the market back toward a balanced supply.

For the 2025 crop, we expect another global oversupply of approximately 1,400 mt of alpha acids. This situation continues to impact spot market pricing and influences long-term growing decisions.

The current price levels are already leading to further acreage reductions. In the Hallertau region alone, a decline of around 2,000 hectares is anticipated, which is expected to contribute to a gradual stabilization of the market.
