Due to the very specific taste characteristics this variety is for “Heavy” beer types. This variety has a strong characteristic of a black current aroma together with a dry plumb.
Approved in 1938 a cross breed between a breed by Prof. E. S. Salmon from Wye College from the year 1919 with a wild hop that was to be found in the Morden, Manitoba
